Good morning Mr. and Mrs America and all the ships at sea! It's a foggy 54 here. I just had my fuel oil tank refilled for the second time this season, to the tune of $1000. As expensive as fuel oil is, it may be cheaper to burn the trains for heat, but I digress. Yesterday, I went to my not so local hobby shop, and picked up one of Bachmann's el Cheapo 2-6-0 Moguls. The sound is good, motor control is good, it runs good. Two things stand out about it. First, there is no rivet or jacketing detail on the boiler, it is just a smooth piece of plastic. Second, it was lettered for Boston and Maine. At least, with the minimal lettering and detail, replacing the factory lettering will be a snap. I'll just do some research and see which of my favorite railroads had Moguls of any type, and go from there. Lastly,, while I was at the hobby shop, I noticed he had two or three Atlas M15DC engines for reasonable prices..

Hello Terry and the rest of the Forum Folks....... Just how reasonable were those MP-15DC's!? While I did take the day off, today, I had some errands to tend to. By the time I got home, there was little time left before LD got off work and I needed to pick her up, as Adam needed her car to go to work this morning. After I picked LD up, we went out for an early supper. We had some moderate fog first thing this morning and possibly more again tonight. The temps made it to 74 - 76F today. Only the upper 60's or possibly 70, tomorrow, as a slow cool down begins. Also have a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. Near normal temps are expected by Thursday or Friday. The only train time I had all weekend was today, when Adam brought a friend over and he wanted to show him the layout. Naturally, a run of a sound equipped engine was in order. So, a BLI, NW-2 got the nod to pull a train to show off the layout. He even took some cell phone pics to send to his cousin who "...is into trains, but not like you are." ;D Hope that everyone is having a good week.

Our daytime is just barely into the fifties this past week. Our winter has been cold for us, but it is winter. Larry
