Nick has done it again. Check out the new surprise run ( avaliable now ) of PC& F boxcars. Out standing. Just when it seems like they can't get any better, they do. Nick excells again. These are beautiful. Some great Western and Mid- Western Roads. Congratulations on 25 years Moloco.

Whatever happened to those waffle side ACF cars that were supposed to start trickling out? Some roadnames I might actually use on those.

This new run is a nice surprise Colin - that NITX Rio Grande looks good but was likely rare by the late 70's. Those SP and Cotton Belt are perfect for my late 70's modeling period.
As for the pre-orders, the first due are the Santa Fe double door Fe-34 and reruns of the Santa Fe single plug door XLMI boxcars. After that in the queue are the Brainard built 50' double slider door BN/NP boxcars. The waffles are 3rd in line.

I think that's been the case but I noticed it when putting 4 in the cart and checking out. It's flat rate $9.99 for orders under $200.

Got off the train this afternoon, saw a post on Facebook about these cars, and ordered myself a 1976 SP repaint. Not a car I need a bunch of (I bought one of the cars with a roofwalk on the last run) but can't pass up having one with no roofwalk. Also picked up another couple of sets of Barber S2Cs, with .110 treads since the .88s are out of stock. I'll replace the wheels.
Maybe I am incorrect, but I thought of the S2C being a somewhat older truck design but there are tons of them on TTX spine and well cars. Infact, it wasn't until I started paying attention the those cars over the last couple weeks that I noticed how many 5-packs have different combinations of trucks. Usually they appear to be variations of Barber S2s...but that would be something neat to model in HO scale...

We received the final pre-production samples of the ATSF cars about a month ago, so they will be here soon enough. The 70t Barber S-2-C design truck has been produced since 70t trucks were produced in the first place, I would say mid to late fifties to about late 80s, probably beyond that for specific types or cars. The S-2-C is design of truck with proprietary spring assembly design. Many casting plants made them around the world actually, probably in other countries they are still being built where they have lower load limits, like Australia. Nick Got off the train this afternoon, saw a post on Facebook about these cars, and ordered myself a 1976 SP repaint. Nick, great to hear on the waffles. I cannot wait to hold my TO&E's. That said, is your radar beeping on this same style of car, sans waffles? Would be in for a handful of them in BN and late 90's BNSF paint. rr-fallenflags.org/bnsf/bnsf721835j05.jpg

Yes, that was always part of the ACF programme, no waffle for the double plugs. Nick The waffles are in process, with more to come very soon! Nick Nick, great to hear on the waffles.
