I picked up a partly built On3 brass kit for what looks like a Shay, one of those old kits that came with etched brass sheets you cut out around the lines to form the tanks and so forth.
I just got it to flip, it was cheap, but I wonder who the manufacturer could have been? No directions, and it's basically a pile of bits in a cigar box. A lot of Cal Scale parts in with it. I figured worst case I'll put it in with my On30 stuff and can cob up a derelict or wreck out of it.

My googlefoo isn't working too well this morning. There have been many British kitchen table etched brass kit makers over the years with occasional USA prototypes. Kemtron made a lot of O scale shay parts, but not a complete kit.

No, a little research showed it was indeed a Kemtron kit. There was a two and a three truck. A complete, untouched kit runs an easy $1000.
I put it on eBay with a $250 Buy It Now and it didn't even last two hours I don't think. Maybe should have gone for more, but I didn't think there was enough to put much of an engine together. But not bad for a $15 train show box of junk.
