I just found this on trainorders and thought it might be of interest.

A trailer containing two of our distributor shipments was stolen from the shipping company's yard on the weekend. This primarily contains HO scale Procor tank cars and N scale CP FP9A locomotives. The stolen merchandise includes almost 1/3 of the entire tank car run.
Should anyone hear of large quantities of these models suddenly being made available for sale, through eBay or some other channel, please contact the Rapido team at trains@rapidotrains.com

It was posted on TrainOrders. Hopefully they have insurance to mitigate the loss.

Even so, I'd prefer the stolen items were removed from the hands of the thieves, and perhaps sprinkled with some jail time.
They still have jails in Canada?

I can only imagine the trailer was stolen for the value of the trailer, any contents they find they can fence is a bonus. Stuff might end up in a dumpster or something.

Francis (our warehouse manager) and Dave (our warranty supervisor) went to the freight warehouse and are fixing up the pallets that were opened. It looks like we'll need some new packaging for some models, but the models themselves are fine. The shipment will be on its way later today.

Model trains wouldn't be the easiest items to fence. Glad the shipment was recovered.

Yeah, it would be much easier to move a truckload of Nvidia video cards. Fortunately my Procor tank cars had already arrived at my LHS so I guess they were part of the other 2/3's of the run. |

begs the question, does a model that gets its packaging roughed up and subsequently re-boxed, get sold as a brand new, factory fresh model? because in the strictest sense of the definition, it really isn’t, right?

Well, based upon the fact that my Procor tank cars are not here, those must be in the 1/3.
Now about those BNSF Kodachrome B36-7 units, which were supposed to be in by now (unless that deadline changed yet again)...where are they? Were they also included? I'm awaiting one of those, too.
