Here's a slide I scanned a while back of SP SD40T-2 #8531 on a CSX coal train coming off the Coal Run Sub at Coal Run Jct, KY 5-29-1992. Sharing this not only because I love tunnel motors, but this down-on view is helpful for modeling. The subdued lighting also shows the trucks pretty well; all in all, a photo perfect for a modeler! Someone also stenciled "AC DC" on the a/c unit, and even if it's not prototypical to the unit or era, I think the next Scale Trains SD40T-2 that goes through the workbench will have to have that "extra". Spent a few minutes today getting rid of the crossover platforms and ladders on my Walthers auto parts boxcar. Was planning on adding brass wire to the ladders but I'd rather just get a Plano part. The crossover platform will be replaced by #134. The ladders could be replaced by Exactrail ladders. Also, am I the only person who thinks the roof on the Walthers car looks odd compared to the real thing? Almost like it's too thin. It should extend to where the ribs end.

Getting some run time in on my brand new Genesis SD70ACUs: Considering they have not been speed matched yet they ran very well!
