Badger occasionally does a sale over the internet with their "show" prices. One is going on now through June 15. There is a limited amount of merchandise available.

Once a year Badger does a blow out sale. This is not one of those.
The various Patriot airbrushes and the Badger 360 are especially good for modelers. The $$$ Sotars seem to be a holy grail for modelers, but they are really intended for the inks and dyes used by illustrators. The Renegade/Krome airbrushes also intended for professions.
What ever Badger you choose, be sure to get the needle and nozzle kit equivalent to the #5 if you are primarily shooting acrylics and other water borne paints. The 360 comes with a #5 tip, so no needle kit needed. Before you put down your money call the (312) number at the top of the sale page to confirm that you have the correct needle/nozzle. Call because you can't decipher the language on the sale page or on the main pages. You might also need to ask about hose adaptors. That's going to be confusing. Over the years I've accumulated a lot of wrong guesses. Also, consider the Quick Disconnect. (Actually, BUY the quick disconnect so you don't have to slam the airbrush against the wall when you can't find the tiny wrench to remove the hose which you will want to do for cleaning.) I use the high roller trigger on all my Badgers. Some Patriots come with this and it is an accessory for the others.
If I was new to this or wanting to step up it looks to me that the COMPLETE MODELERS PACK - PATRIOT 105, AIR HOSE, Minitaire PAINT SET, CMK-0116 COMPLETE MAINTENANCE KIT, ADDITIONAL 4OZ. SPRAY THRU CLEANER, DETAILING DVD, 1/87 SCALE ATHEARN GENESIS MODEL is a good deal at $99.00. Add your own compressor or C/O2 gas supply.
At the bottom of the page are various paints at good prices. I've not used the Minitaire paints but they are well regarded by the military and figure folks. The Minitaire Ghost Tints are transparent acrylic inks. The Stynylrez primers are the best on the market, currently. The Metalsmith set is interesting, but not an Alclad contender. The Spray-Thru cleaner is good stuff, but lots of folks make good spray through cleaners. Notably Vallejo and VMS.
