Earlier this week I showed some photos of my P&E boxcar that showed a CNJ red boxcar in the background. Here are some photos of the CNJ car: The car started with a Branchline 40' boxcar with a 7' wide door. I did add add a Plano running board, Kato trucks, Kadee 178 couplers, a Kadee brakewheel, and metal stirrups. I painted the the car red (Modelflex Caboose red or GM&O red?) and then lettered it with an old set of Herald King decals. I did substitute finer capacity data from a Microscale set (BN Boxcar Data). I only added some very light lettering to represent a fresh red CNJ boxcar right out of the shops.
