Ok guy's. Just got Rapido's latest newsletter by e-mail and they have announced the FA-2. No question about it, it is coming. I do find it rather strange B units are not mentioned at all. That would be similar to E-R Models releasing the Sharknose "A" units but not the "B" units.

When Model Power came out with the Baldwin Sharknose in the early 1970s the B-unit was not immediately available either, so there is at least one precedent for a staged release. In fact, if memory serves, the B-unit may have followed by as much as a couple years and whether it was done at all likely depended on the commercial success of the A. But then, there were FAR fewer new product releases per year in those days. I love those units to this day -- large can motor that was about out to the insides of the carbody. Among the first of the really smooth-running mass-produced plastic diesels.

?? so did the New Haven FB-2s run into Maybrook ? then were replaced in the 60s by the C425s and U25Bs ? interesting that at least 1 NH C425 survives, but the U25Bs are long gone. Spikre
