I weathered my PRR H34A covered hopper that started as an undec Kadee car. I did replace the normal Kadee wheels with Kadee code 88 wheels, After painting the car I decaled the car with decals I designed and then printed them out on a laser printer. It represents a car that the PRR repainted into the simplified "plain keystone" scheme. Not too many of them were repainted into this scheme. I weathered the well used car using pencils, PanPastes and airbrushing. These Kadee cars still look great but I do wish Kadee would offer the correct 70-ton trucks.

Nice work Tom!
Not sure why Kadee doesn't offer this paint scheme. If it's because of a lack of reference material, all they have to do is contact the PRR historical society for help or get a copy of the PRR Compendium book which has the lettering drawing for this class in it. Tracing 461915 on page 74 covers class H33 and H34 A thru D.
Thanks, Mark J. Reading, PA

Nice model Tom, do you know if anyone has ever done etched trust plates for cars like this? It would make for a neat detail.
