Micro-Trains (mostly N scale) is offering pre-weathered cars using Accurail kit tooling. micro-trains.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=64In my opinion they look a little extreme; I prefer more subtle weathering, but it's interesting to see MT get into the HO business. I think they have done a few vehicles and accessories in HO before, but this may be their first HO freight car.

Some of the MT pre-weathered N scale cars are quite nice, wonder if that will carry into HO. Those cars are far too modern for me but I feel like those could be popular.

Can someone post the 3D manufacturers and their new products that were announced at the show? There are many new, small companies producing now it’s hard to keep track of them all and what they produce.

Gentlemen, thanks for the info. Bowser's website doesn't yet have any mention of an Alco C415 yet; I'll be watching for it.
BLI's website does have info on the forthcoming PRR passenger cars; unfortunately, it states that in the first run there will only a set of cars from three different eras is listed. I sent in a comment urging that the cars be sold individually as well; I would anyone who would also like to see that to do the same. I'm sure they'll be better than some very old Bachmann cars I have, but I won't want a set of the six models listed.

Bowser has been bringing 3D printed 415s on the train show tour for months now, it has not been formally announced yet.

Bowser has been bringing 3D printed 415s on the train show tour for months now, it has not been formally announced yet. They had been bringing semi finished models to shows. But they had samples of the Demo, Rock Island, SP and SP&S. The only thing missing on the new samples were some pilot details. They said the formal announcement should arrive at the end of the month, with a rough delivery date in the first half of next year. They also talked about their factory increasing its capacity so things should come out faster.

Was Lee English there himself? If so, how is he doing? I like talking with him.

I have the P70 cars from the first run, and they look like someone has a miniature sun in each. The LEDs are bright enough to bleed through the sides of the car. I also own them in N scale, where they used the same number of LEDs, but closer together, for an even worse bleed through effect.
I won't be ordering a BLI baggage to replace my Bachmann, unless the reviews are very favorable.Thr HO stuff is good. My memory isn't. Maybe I'll get a baggage car.

Interesting flat car! What was the purpose of the "micro" bulkheads? Was this for structural steel shapes and pipe. or something else? I don't see these on your web site or on 3Ds, where will they be available? What decals would be good for this model, if any?

In addition to P&LE, EL also had flatcars with 12" tall bulkheads. All I can imagine was that they were meant for plate steel. However, I've only ever seen photos of either loaded with transformers.
The kits are supposed to be up on the 3DC site on Monday, decals in the works from Mount Vernon Shops.

Off that bat the drawings show a correct length car versus the stretched Bachmann model, if that is a concern.

Good, we can finally put the Walthers PD5000 out of its misery. Though I bet they suddenly, after 20+ years, they'll release it again.

Lack of "as-delivered" configuration on the CN SD50F/SD50AF is an odd choice by Aurora, but I guess the mid-90s versions cover more years overall. Correct link for pre-orders: na.auroraminiatures.com/products/ho-scale-gmdd-sd50f-sd50af-diesel-locomotiveClicking on each roadnumber will bring up unit-specific artwork indicating if that unit has pilot or deck-mounted ditch lights, plus various lettering features.

It’ll be nice to see a proper Trinity version with the correct end cages.

I saw the Bachmann video on Youtube yesterday. Overall, it feels a bit lackluster. Last year's was much better. 2023 had Horizon cars, new steam locomotives, and the new Acela. 2024 seems to be mostly freight cars. It's sad when multiple road numbers are an actual feature to advertise, and not an expected part of a freight car run. Bachmann did show painted samples of the Avelia Liberty high speed train at Amherst. That was from the 2023 catalog, and it looks to be nearing completion. I see pictures showing up on social media; it looks a lot nicer than the first Acela.

I am still waiting for the first run cn trenton hoppers. those would have been out long ago if they didn't have to re-do them all. That falls into the category of "sh-t happens". I'd rather wait a bit longer for them then get a car with blatant mistakes.
