Remember when Blaine Hadfield posted his fine looking lumber loads back in Sept 2015?

Recently Trainlife announced the availability of lumber loads based on Blaine Hadfields loads. Posted over at Train Orders about a week ago:
As always it's great to have more excellent lumber load options for our flat cars and bulkhead flat cars. IIRC, the Hadfield type loads represent 2x4 dimensional lumber in 8, 10, 12 and 16 foot long bunks, or stacks. Back when Blaine was offering loads to forum members in 2015, I bought a couple of batches which is enough to load a 53' flat car 4 levels high. Blaines loads were not cheap by any means but the Trainlife version, which requires the bunks be assembled, are somewhat more economical. That said, I estimated the cost for the TL kits enough to replicate the 4 level load I ordered from Blaine would still be about $62. I've ordered a number of kits toward building a 2nd Hadfield type lumber load. I believe TL is going to continue to produce the kits on an ongoing basis to keep them "in stock" at most times, so if they get low or out, wait a few days and they seem to get replenished.
Now some have commented that the Hadfield/Trainlife loads look better than the Wheels of Time, and no doubt, they look fantastic. But keep in mind a load for load, you can buy two 2-packs of the WOT loads for about the cost of a single Trainlife load. The WOT 2-pack will let you create 3 loads 5 stacks high for 53' flat cars. So if you need to load a bunch, the WOT loads will help make that possible at a much lower cost. Basically you can load 5 or 6 flat cars with WOT kits vs. a single flat with TL loads at roughly the same cost.
That said, it's great to have multiple lumber load products available and personally I am pleased to have both and variety is prototypical. And speaking of variety, Dave Hussey has been offering his laser cut lumber loads are "coming soon" according to his website.

We are excited to announce our first Laser cut kit!
These realistic lumber loads were initially created by Blaine Hadfield as he was looking to load ExactRail's GSC Flat cars (a car that he helped develop - trainlife.com/collections/exactrail-gsc-flat-cars ) as a personal modeling project. TrainLife.com has been able to simplify the design and assembly method for these awesome loads without sacrificing any of the beautiful detail.
