What auto rack has treadplate? Steve The plate that goes between the auto racks so cars can run all the way through them to load. But is that part of the auto rack? Steve

Somebody probably spotted a variation in SpongeBob SquareCab window spacing, so now that's a "never done before in plastic" model.

I will echo the parts cars sentiments. Somebody has to step up to the plate between all of these manufacturers..
*Ahem* Tangent, Arrowhead, Exactrail, Genesis...

17.6 ounces... Not quite. It's actually 23oz. Let the speculation begin! Including, or excluding, the packaging? Maybe just the packaging is what weighs 17.57 ounces! That would suggest a large diesel (DD35?) or steam (Big Boy?) loco...

SD45X. Kinda funny. They buy all that old RPP tooling, and for what? 4? models came from it.

Can’t say I disagree with wanting any of those, but I’m pretty sure none of those three have treadplate in the classic sense of the term, so it rules them out of this announcement, I suspect.

It is possible, the Facebook pic has the ends of the box out of frame, somehow I got it in my mind that it was the same box they use for the MP15AC given the way they shot it, but technically it could be three feet long and the pic wouldn’t say for sure.

It's either a flared radiator SD70MAC or an SDP40.

They said only done in brass, so if we don't count the wide body from the 60's than it could be that SDP40. If so I would be patiently waiting the GCFX 3093.
Flared SD70MAC's are too new for me but I loved the CSX ones when they came out so I may be tempted to pick one up for posterity.

I'm with carrman on the charger thing. I'm not holding my breath on the engine announcement; chances are slim that it will be anything I could use. But as the lottery commercial states, "hey, you never know!" I'm guessing getting an engine I need is about the same odds!

New teaser photo is up on Facebook page. That’s an awfully long box Palomarez is clutching.

In one of the comments Athearn mentions that the weight in the picture (17.57oz) is a non-powered pre-production sample. Not sure if that means just the drivetrain is missing or if there's also internal weights missing.

Scaling off of the brick wall in the background, the box looks to be about 18.5 to 19 inches long.
(We are really getting all Warren Commission with this aren’t we?? Lol. I say there’s a second SDP40 on the grassy knoll.....)
