Hi all, We're hosting a Facebook Live event on Monday from our US Dealer Open House. It's at 12:15 p.m. EDT. We're announcing a ton of new stuff. Note the American spelling in "ton." It's all US prototypes. We don't just make "foreign" stuff at Rapido, eh? www.facebook.com/rapidotrains/We're also sending out a newsletter. Newsletter subscribers will get the news first. Thanks and regards, Jason

Hopefully announcing corrected numbers on the CNIS and CN "Environmental Mode" 3800s that actually match the prototype! (The selected numbers CNIS 368063, 368226, and 368239; and CN 371255, 371355, 371362 and 371375 are for prototypes that do not match the model)

Ed Added since I felt a disturbance in the schwartz. 🤓 Western and back when dinosaurs roamed ain't no good to me. 😜 Well, if there isnt any thing in the "big" announcement for me, at least the Flexi flows will be something from Rapido for me. That will be my 2nd Rapido purrrrchase so far. But if there is a Starship announced, I could be tempted!

Running a successful manufacturer means keeping a steady stream of product in all stages of production so that you always have something ready to move to the next stage and don't have employees / capacity sitting idle.
Looking at their production schedule* (updated this week) Rapido appears to have a reasonable amount of product at the various stages, and other than perhaps the EP-5 nothing there seems to be excessively long in development.
So now certainly is a good time to be announcing more new product to help keep that pipeline full of product to keep the revenue stream coming.

The P30CH is finally official! Happy day!!!! Would a Rapido quality E60CP get any interest? It’s a bit of an oddball, low production unit, but so was the FL9 and that didn’t stop Rapido from producing it. Thanks, Mark

Feast for some, famine, apparently for others. It's not just Rapido, It's most of the manufactures. I know it's to see if there are enough interested buyers, but it gets old.

I suspect that will be news to all the people who have already spent a lot of money on Rapido product this year, and those that will be for the remainder of the year as the next products arrive in the remaining 6 months.

If you look at the Rapido production schedule they are easily 2 years out. They are up to July 2020, plus they have promised reruns not on the list like the RS11 and several others. I could care less about 'new announcements' just get what you have promised done. Three years is a long ways off. Even ScaleTrains announcement to delivery date is far superior.

Suspect it would need a retailer / society to take on the financial risk given how few people model overhead and that it is restricted to just Amtrak I think.
The FL9 would have had different considerations given how active NH modelers are and that it was a diesel and 3rd rail (3rd rail being a lot easier to model).
