Glad to i found this forum ! Its hard to find a forum with the right mix.One of the reasons i miss the old Atlas. I am certainly not up todate with whats happening in the hobby or even new releases! Steve Steve I think we all missed the new items posting monthly by Atlas. We have been trying to post new releases here when we find them so other might see them. It is good for all of us to share anything that is of interest in the hobby. Larry

Welcome to Steve, Bill, Charlie and ns8888. We're glad you found your way here, no matter the method. The more active posters we have, the better the Forum can be. I've been fairly absent of late, due to long workdays, 6 days/week.

Welcome, Ed, Steve, Bill, ns8888 and Charlie, I'm glad you all came over.
If you came from the old Atlas forum, then you know that Charlie Vlk is a real gentleman and a legend in model trains. He would not blow his own horn, and may not like me doing it, but I felt compelled.
Regards Charley, spelled "ey", LOL.

Another Atlas Refugee!! Thanks for the forum. My favorite thing on the Atlas forum was the SNFF. I will definately be contributing on that. I will need to learn how to post pics here.

It's been a very busy summer for me, so I haven't been here as much as I should have been to welcome our new members. I'm glad you found us, and I want to offer each of you my welcome to the forum.

A quick post to say hello. I was mostly a lurker and occasional poster on the original Atlas forums. Construction season is finally winding down and I've finally found time to join here. It's good to have a replacement for the Atlas forums, even though I don't get here very often in season. It's good to know curmudgeons are still accepted somewhere.
Donnell, you're a brave man to take up such a challenge!! Bless you!
Dano

First off, Dano, welcome to the Forum.
Second, you make it sound as if being a Curmudgeon is a BAD thing!! ;D
I honestly believe I've been one since my mid 20's and now I'm in my late 50's!!
We hope you become more of a contributor than a lurker, but either way, we're glad to have you here.

Hi all, I can't believe I haven't heard of this forum before. Been a long time since I've seen some of these screennames. Welcome to The Forum. I recognize the screen name from Atlas, just can't recall the name that goes with it. We certainly hope you find the place to your liking.

Hi Dano,
Welcome man! I worried about starting the forum for about a second, then said, "What the heck?! Try it! The worst that could happen is that nobody would join." I knew I would miss the old place as it was the first forum I visited on a daily basis. And, I knew I couldn't be the only one that felt this way! So, I stepped out on faith, and here we are!

Welcome! Pretty much like the old Atlas Forum, except better I agree. It already has the same "flavor". I thought the "Cheddar Curtain" would be somewhere in Wisconsin. I guess that would just be for the States, though. Doug

Thanks so much for setting this up. I find the Atlas Forum invaluable, but had no way of reaching former Atlas Forum folks (short of what might seem like cyber-stalking) until I found this. Looking forward to learning and posting. Best, Ken
