;D i think so too now that the forum just isn't for a particular manufacturer now only if we could get all the old smilies we're used to I miss the cowboy hat. I just liked the look of it, sort of a combination of smugness and a wink. I've never worn one in real life and I probably would look funny in one. When I had my beard it would have worked - I could have passed for an extra ZZTop stagehand anyway. Andy

Took a bit to find you guys and Kodiak was good enough to lead the way. At first I thought someone was pulling my leg. I got a good hee haw out of it. Then things got serious and here am I. Good to see you all. On another note: You won't beleive how many train type websites there are out there. Amazing. Time to explore the venue here.

Figured I'd check this forum out. Maybe even post occasionally. Was a member of the old Atlas Forum (different name) near the beginning until the inmates started running... Well, you know. Really hope this place can flourish and am wishing it good luck!

It's good that you found us. I'm glad you're here. Don't worry too much about Dee. We keep her supplied with bananas, although I think she's getting a little large around the mid section. We may have to put her on a diet.

Hi, Doug G. (douggosha), I'm glad your here. I can't officially welcome you, because I'm still a "new member" myself, LOL. I hope everything is OK, you seemed to be MIA the last few weeks of the "old Atlas Forum". Also folks, Doug maybe trying to stay under the radar, but you all know he host's the Motive Power side of A1G site don't you? If you have or pick up on ebay any Atlas/RR loco's and want to know how to make them run, go here: www.irwinsjournal.com/a1g/a1glocos/ Charley.

I just happened to be busy with a new job during the last days of the Atlas forum and blah blah. And there already seemed to be enough people lamenting the passing of that forum without me adding to the funeral (even though I certainly lamented its passing too). Anyway, I would like to reiterate my thanks for this forum and I have already gotten used to checking it every day just like with the old forum. And, I hope it will become the "official" replacement (although I already consider it that) when almost all former members of the Atlas forum are members here. Doug

Glad you could find us Gary. You know, even though there are a lot of Atlas refugees here, it feels like this place has its own "new" feel, or signature!

Hello everyone. I am glad to find some of the old crew here. When I discovered that Miss Dee was here, I decided to join up. I am in western Massachussetts, just west of the Deerfield yards. Later

Well, I certainly wasn't a very prolific poster on the Atlas forum, but man did I enjoy going there. Always people there willing to help out with ideas and general knowledge. Oh, and a few nuts too, but most of them were nice nuts (like pistachios!).

Thought I'd come over and check it out. Thanks Donald. Even though I haven't posted over on the old Atlas forum for quite a while I'll check in.
The 'Toasted Walthers Car' thread is was what got me over here from the Railroad Line Forums when the link was posted there. All I an say is Holy Cow! has Walthers got a problem.

James thanks for sharing the insights on the European trains. Someday, if I have the room, I'm going to do a European layout. The buildings, trains, and scenery are just much cooler over there.
