I think this is the four-axle many of us have been waiting for:

I’m in for one each of the two GP30B variations. Steve Hopefully they'll do some of the early paint schemes in our lifetime - One can only hope.

I'm preparing myself for disappointment. We don't ned another niche, limited appeal locomotive.

I would not complain at all if it was the GP59/60 as long as both are represented. But I’m still fingers crossed for GP30/30B and or GP35.

I’m wondering if the forecast for a “bomb cyclone” nor’easter will be a problem for people attending the show. Safe travels to all those attending!
Thanks Mark

The current prediction from Accuweather is something like 18 inches of snow by Sunday AM with a high Saturday of 15 and winds up to 40 MPH.
I don't even want to think about what the parking lot at the Big E will be like once it's got a bunch of cars and there's six inches of snow around them.
I had to drive from Albany west in one of those bomb cyclones a couple years ago and it was miserable, they could not keep I-90 plowed, in fact the rest areas were not plowed at all. That one was heavier snow and not so much wind. Had I not had a posi rear in the van I would have gotten stuck somewhere, or I would have never left Albany and just grabbed a motel.

We still don't have the definitive plastic model of one of these things yet.... Whatever the heck it is.

GP28/35 had two different types of frames. "Phase I" had "fishbelly" frames, "Phase II" were straight I beams.

I don’t believe there were any phase II GP28s. I would like to see a high quality phase II GP35. Phase I GP28/35 would be much welcomed also. what emd GP series had nearly identical frames and truck spacing? GP28/35 had two different types of frames. Thanks Mark Such is the risk of scheduling an event when major winter storms can happen. Every now and then, the big one will hit on the weekend of the event.
Don't give up just yet...the computer models have really been struggling with this one. Confidence and predictability at this point are on the low side across most of the northeast for the weekend. The exception would be Providence to Boston and out to Cape Cod. I see the NWS has already posted the Winter Storm Watch.

There are also four former Bangor & Aroostook ones left, with three running, or in need of minor repairs, and a fourth one at the Cole Transportation Museum, in Bangor, Maine.

We still don't have the definitive plastic model of one of these things yet.... Whatever the heck it is. Springfield Mass. is a little outside the territory served by the MBTA, but I could certainly see it as a likely venue to introduce such a model.

Going back and rereading the ad, it just says the four axle that you have been waiting for, it doesn’t say locomotive. That narrows it down to just about any rolling stock.

While that ad doesn't say it, they've made it crystal clear that it IS a locomotive. Going back and rereading the ad, it just says the four axle that you have been waiting for, it doesn’t say locomotive. That narrows it down to just about any rolling stock.

It's a locomotive, but it might not be a diesel.
Have we ever had a super nice model of a boxcab electric? Maybe they are taking a page out of Rapido's book and doing the CN boxcabs..... Perfect for modellers of all eras up to 1995.

Could include all the new passenger engines in the boxcar list because, well, they look like a box. 🤣

MU cars have four axles.... We've never had a plastic South Shore car in HO, and these have been in service since 1982!

What would be really hilarious is if turns out to be an E unit. With the prototypical four POWERED axles. Bwa-ha-ha.
